Sometimes when the hurt and pain became too much, it was easy for me to shut down. I learned to block out pain during tough times by ministering to others during their time of needs. I guess, I focused more on the needs of others while putting mines away. I was ushered in the presence of the Lord by remembering His promises and standing on His Word. I was bent but not broken. We all have storms, I can’t stress enough the fact that it’s so important how we “GROW” through them while we’re going through them. My storms made me grow up, they gave me strength, they made me stronger and wiser. I made up in my mind that I was going to believe God’s Word no matter what situation I was facing. He said for me to delight myself in Him and He would give me the desires of my heart (Psalm 37:4). He said if I wait on Him, He would renew my strength (Isaiah 40:31).

There were times in my life where this just sound like words to me. It was words of wisdom but I did not have a clear understanding for what it really meant. I read that wisdom is the principle thing but in all thy getting, get an understanding. I understand now that Standing on God’s word means to stand on the truth about His word that will trump any situation that is going in your life. You can read His word and know that if I stand in my belief of faith that He will come through for me. I am a living testimony that His word, His principles, His law, His order works. It is like building a physical house where you have a blueprint to help you build it. God’s word is your solid foundation, your blueprint to help you to not just build a life but an abundant life. To all my sisters I love you and I bless you. May Abundance be with you.
