Webster dictionary defines the word discipline to mean; strict training that corrects or strengthens, the practice of training people to obey rules or a code of behavior, using punishment to correct disobedience.

This is just what our Heavenly Father wants to do for us, correct us as He strengthens us. For whom the Lord loves, He corrects (Proverbs 3:12a). Mothers, when you discipline your child for misbehaving, you don’t stop loving that child, right? Well of course not, it actually demonstrates your love for that child. See this is how God sees us. Yes, we misbehave at times and need to be chastised, but He doesn’t stop loving us, as a matter of fact, He loves us so much he gives us another chance to get it right. He’s a God of many chances. Wise women, we will work harder from this day forward to get it right. I’m determined, are you?

Disciplining yourselves starts with your determination to be all that you can be in Jesus Christ. We need to discipline ourselves from certain food addictions, bad habits and the list can go on and on. As we approach this New Year (2017), remember you can do all things through Christ, Who gives you strength (Philippians 4:13). I want you to remember this; you’re a woman of excellence, you’re graceful, strong, beautiful, and wise. Who can find a virtuous woman? For her price is far above rubies. (Proverbs 31:10) Wise women I want you all to stop allowing your past failures and rejections to dictate your future. God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that you, always having all sufficiency in all things may abound to every good work. (2 Corinthians 9:8) Never again will you allow your hurt and pain to keep you in bondage.

This is a area I still need help with when it comes to eating. I am finding that writing down my commitment and creating a strategy is helpful and of course prayer is helping me to overcome alot of my eating habits.

Amen! Discipline comes with constantly seeking Gods face in all that we do in life. We all make mistakes and fall short, It is refusing remain in that failure mindset. God provides us with His forgiveness and Mercy. However in order to maintain discipline, prayer and fellowship with God is necessary. When I often struggle with discipline I recall “Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.”
    Philippians 4:6
Just ask God to help you and then allow Him to have his way, you must surrender.

    Be Blessed Ladies!
