During one of the most difficult trials that I had to face, I remember crying to God all night for answers, clarification and instructions. The next morning I got dressed for work, got in my car and drove 35 minutes without any remembrance of doing so. I don’t even remember stopping at red lights or stop signs (I’m sure I did, I just don’t remember) but what I do remember is pulling into that parking lot and saying Lord, I need a word from You. I opened my Bible and I came to this message; Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as through some strange thing happened to you: But rejoice inasmuch as you are partakers of Christ sufferings; that when His glory shall be revealed, you may be glad also with exceeding joy. (I Peter 4:12-13) I was in tears to the point that I couldn’t finish reading. Wise women, what I’m trying to convey to each one of you, that trial has to take place in order for God to use you. Yes, it may hurt like crazy but He will provide you that peace that exceeds all understanding. Keep looking to Him, the author and finisher of your faith. He will not let you down.
I want you to take this time to examine your situation, ask yourself (What am I doing to follow God’s plan for my life?). Now, I want you to right down 5 things that will answer your question. It’s time to take your joy back. It’s time to live according to God’s purpose, you suffered for God’s Glory to be revealed, now follow His Will, get up and stop feeling sorry for yourself. Remember, it’s not what you go through, but how you choose to go through it. You suffered long enough.
